As an experienced training company and family-run technology company in Herne, we offer apprenticeships in eight different trades. Our apprentices receive professional and personal support and encouragement from on-site contact persons as well as targeted exam preparation. After successful completion of the apprenticeship and corresponding performance, the graduates have good chances for a future-oriented job in our company.

Questions and answers about apprenticeship at VULKAN

When do I apply?

The apprenticeship at VULKAN usually starts in August of each year. It is best to apply between summer and fall of the previous year.  

What does the application process look like?

After receipt of the application, the aptitude test follows. If you pass the test, you will have the opportunity to get to know each other in a personal interview.  

How long is the probationary period?

The duration of the probationary period is three months.

Will I be prepared internally for exams?

Yes, once a week you will have the opportunity to take part in internal factory classes. However, if you have any difficulties at school, you will always have a contact person who will be happy to help you.  

What development opportunities do I have after completing the apprenticeship?

You can take part in further training measures both in our in-house academy and externally, depending on your needs and area of responsibility.  

What should I bear in mind when applying?

Do I have to wear special work clothes?

For safety reasons, our cutting machine operators, mechatronics engineers, industrial mechanics and warehouse logistics specialists wear protective clothing, such as overalls or work safety shoes.
